The fee for the Caribbean Poker Classic/World Poker Tour Satellite Tournament of US$2,999 includes one entry fee, round trip air fare from all Grand Bahama Vacation cities (casino charters only. The Professional Poker Tour (PPT) was a series of televised poker tournaments, spinning off from the World Poker Tour (WPT) television series. It billed itself as the first professional poker league, and was limited to players who have established themselves on the World Poker Tour, World Series of Poker, or major participation on the poker circuit.
Matt Corboy was the lead commentator, with poker pro Mark Seif as color commentator and Kaye Han as floor reporter. The first season, taped in 2004-2005, began airing regularly on Travel Channel on July 5, 2006 and left the air in 2007.

Events were telecast across five shows each. The first four shows were labeled as quarters, from 1st Quarter to 4th Quarter, reflecting early-round play in the event. The final six-player table was the fifth show of the cycle.

The PPT was canceled after one season. Events that comprised the PPT in 2005 were integrated into the WPT schedule in 2007-08.

The price of admission for the World Poker Tour Championship is $25,000 with a $500 entry fee, making it one of the most expensive tickets of the year on the tournament trail. Bellagio’s poker room will be running a half-dozen super-satellite events this week to allow players to win their way into the tournament for as little as $1,590. Each super-satellite event will award as many $25,500 entries into the WPT Championship event as possible, based on the number of players who buy into each satellite. Here is a look at the schedule for super-satellite events that will be offered before the WPT event in the Fontana Bar at Bellagio:

Another way for players to win their seat in the WPT Championship at Bellagio is to win one of the remaining preliminary events on the Five-Star World Poker Classic schedule. Each event that has a prize pool of at least $300,000 will award the champion with a $25,500 buy-in to the 2009 WPT Championship. Here are the remaining preliminary events on the schedule:
